They relate to settlements <br />with other Departments through negotiation, wages granted to other <br />City employees, and perhaps even the trends which may be set for <br />future negatiated wage agreements. Additionally, programs and employee <br />benefits are funded with tax dollars appropriated months ago. The City <br />can only pay for that which it can afford. <br />I regret this action, but I believe it is necessary and urge Council to <br />look beyond today and seriously consider all aspects of Ordinance 80- <br />71. <br />Thank you. <br />Very truly yours, <br />?
