'reaident Limnert announced that Ordinance Ho. 81-93, resurfacing and upgradtng <br />3rookpark Road, Ordinance No. 81-94, agpropriating $8,500.40 from the Reveraue Stiartng <br />Fund for the removal of the asphalt ceucrete wearin^g course on Dover Center Raoad, <br />and Ordinance 'rio. 81•95, authorizing and directing the canceliatio9a of special <br />assessments on certain permanent parctYs, have besa placetl on toaight's agenda for <br />first reading. Also, Councilmn Log,an and Woarpel are out of tcxwn and will not be <br />in attendance at toaight's Council Meeting. <br />Piayor Swietyniowski reported: 1) Announcmd the appointnent of Stanlep B. Ebin to <br />the Architectural Board o£ Review fox the term e=?ding December 31, 1982 and requeated <br />Council's approval. <br />2) Through a cooperative effart involving NOACA and the Stete of Ohio, Broakvark <br />Road will be repaved this year frcm Stata Route 10 to the easC Citq limits. Have entered faCo a one month extension witih the concept <br />that anything resolved would be retroactive to Ju1q 19th. <br />City Fngineer Zurawaki reported: 1) On July 17, 1981, attended a preconetruction <br />meeting at County Engineer's office to discues the surface aeal treatmmt and <br />pavement markings on Clague Road, fram Larain Road to the north cornoration line <br />and on Mastic Road, fram Columbia Road to the east earlrorstian lina. County has <br />awarded contract to the Schloss Pavixtg Compaap; work in North Olmsted will probably <br />be performed in mid-August, at which ti.me the roul will be closed to traffic; <br />City will be notified seven doys prior to rasd cloaing. <br />2) Coordination unit on Brookpark Road hae been dsmaged by lighining; warking with <br />Ohio Bell to repair. Conflict monitar on traffic ccmtraller, at the intersectioa of <br />Great Northern Boulevard ani! Brookparlc Raad, has malfunctianed. Will replaCe this <br />unit, which is obsolete, and use what 1a salvsgable #or spare parts for other <br />controllers of the sazae type which are still in use. Tht coordinatian unit at the <br />intersection of Lorain Road, Porter Road, aaad Butternut Ridga R+osd has been in <br />atalled and the intersection wiil ncw oprerate as part of the Lorsia Road system.
