These will be re- <br />placemeat vehicles in an aaount totaling appraximately $400,000. <br />3) Legislative Couni.ttee met the sme evening with Mrs. Petrigac sizd Mrs. Saringer <br />present. Discussed Ordinanee No. 81-57, urging Gongrese to refrain from budget cuts <br />regarding funds for youth diversion program. Mrs. Petrigtc sponsored the legis2ation <br />and fs naturally supparttve, hawever, Mrs. S#ringer feels it is too ].ate for such <br />legislation - bq the tf.me it goes into ef#oct, the budget will be paesed. <br />4) Per Mr. Petre's request, discusaetl amending Chapter 721 of the Cc?clifisd Ordinance <br />regarding peddlers, solicitars aud caA:vesders. F'sels the propased 3egis3ation is <br />too restrictive. Couni*tee has no o*;ctian to thia 1ogto1?tion. <br />6) Discussed ResoluLisn No. 81-65, opposiag thae particn of 3enate Bi11 448 dealing <br />with the extetstou of Che 1ncrease in sales tax that grovides for the elieeination of <br />a 1% vendor's a1lcwance €or the ¢ollectian of sales tax. Corenittee has no abjection <br />and Mrs. PeCrigac wil1. aa& fo^r svspension of rule requiring three reedings at the <br />next Council Meetf.ng. <br />le Mrs. Petrigac, Chairmetn Snairommtal Control Comi.ttee reported: 1) Casrei.ttee met <br />Mondaq, May 4th with sIl mobers pr+eemt uES well as Service Dfrector and Couaciluan <br />Woerpel aad W'ilamoeky.
