Mr. eorriga.a replied Chat the Elgin Pelican <br />street sweeper was in good condition aard resdy for use, hcxaever the eaphasis is on <br />the storm sewers. Would not recommnd that the City have moxe thate the ane sweeper. <br />In Spring, the Service Department ia iavoaved in iatensive chuck hole repai.r; collapsed <br />catch basin repair and thisgs of this nature. Would not want to divert too much <br />manpower to street cleaning. <br />Mrs. Petrigac discuesed snow plowing of cul-de-sacs; residents have suggested that <br />the plows operate counter-clockwiss, throwing the snaw into t'he center of the cul- <br />de-sac. How msny plows does the City have', specificaliy for cul-de--gacs? <br />Mr. Corrigan replied that for the 69 cul-de-sacs in the City, there are twfl <br />four-wheel drive vehicles for snow plowing. In some eases, it wou].d nat be auitable <br />to plow counter-clockwise, since the whdle cul-de-sac is plo+ed. If there is an <br />area in the middle which has a planting, it tai.ght be poasible. Servi.ce Department <br />will at Ieast look into it. <br />Mrs. Petrigac asked if the Bombardier was utilized this year. Mr. Corrigan answered <br />that it had been usefl so much that it broke; has not been uaed for the Iast three <br />weeks. Mrs. Petrigac asked if sotne effort could be made to at Zeast clean the walk <br />in front of Coe Cemetery. <br />Mr. Bierman scheduled a Recreation, Public Parks and Buildings Committee Meeting for <br />Tuesday, February 23rd, at 8 o'clock. <br />Mr. Bierman asked the Service Director to make every effort to patch Country Club <br />Boulevard between Lorain Road and Vietoria Laae; is afraid there will be a serious <br />accident; had followed a school hus that almost lost control fram the ho2es and <br />cracks in the road. Mayor aavisea chat Country Club is the wvrst street in the <br />City; Coimcil will have to address Countrp Club this year; patchixtg dcies not hold <br />up, the slabs are crooked and s#.nking; the base 3s deterioratfng and drainage is <br />bad. Mayor promised that crews would be out tomorrow to do what they could. <br />Mrs. Petrigac announced that there would be a Save Our State Program for nuclear <br />waste at John Knox Church at 7:34 P.M. P'riday night. Two of the speakers are <br />Arnold Glasser and David Getlin; public is invited. <br />?
