MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 6, 1984 <br />Present: President James Boehmer, Councilmen Bierman, O'Grady, <br />Petrigac, Rademaker, Saringer, Tallon, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Robert Swietyniowski, Law Director Michael Gareau, <br />Finance Director Edward Boyle, Service Director Joseph Corrigan, <br />Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Special Meeting of Council was called to order by President Boehmer at 9:20 P.M. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved to amend the agenda by removing Ordinance No. 84-82, an <br />ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North <br />Olmsted of an amendment to Section 8 of Article VIII of the Charter of the <br />City of North Olmsted to permit this Coucnil to levy annually, without a vote <br />of the people, an additional tax at a rate not exceeding 2.6 mills, to pay <br />annual debt service requirements on certain obligations initially incurred on <br />or after January 1, 1976, and prior to January 1, 1987, to .pay costs of im- <br />proving the Municipal Sanitary Sewerage System, and declarin¢ an emergency, <br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 84-81 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of <br />North Olmsted of an amendment to Section 8 of Article VIII of the Charter of <br />the City of North Olmsted to authorise the use of the proceeds of the Tax Levy <br />provided for in Paragraph (C) thereof to pay annual debt service requirements <br />on certain obligations initially incurred on or after January 1, 1976, and <br />prior to January 1, 1987, to pay costs of improving the Municipal Sanitary <br />Sewerage System, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension <br />of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. O'Grady. Roll call on motion: <br />Affirmative vote: O'Grady, Petrigac, Rademaker, Tallon, Wilamosky. Negative <br />vote: Bierman, Saringer. 5 Aye - 2 Nay - Motion carried. Mr. Wilamosky moved <br />for adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved.
