Council Minuted of 13/84 _6_ <br />President Boehmer assigned Ordinance No. 83-149 to Finance Committee; Resolution No. <br />83-153 to BZD Committee; Ordinance No. 8 3154 to Safety Committee. <br />Mr. Wilamosky discussed the issue of employers withholding municipal income tax <br />monies from their employees wages when the employees are under eighteen years of age <br />and are specifically excluded from paying municipal income tax. Requests Budget and <br />Management Director Logan to discuss this issue with Law Director Gareau and <br />communicate to the employers of persons under eighteen years of age the fact that <br />these youths are NOT required, under City ordinance, to pay municipal income tax. <br />Mrs. Petrigac pointed out that a person recently hired by the Administration was <br />serving on one of the boards. Will the Mayor be making a recommendation for another <br />replacement? Mayor advised that this person has resigned from the board; he will <br />be making several more appointments. <br />Mr. Wilamosky asked for an update on figures with respect to Ordinance No. 82-89 <br />which deals with engineering to construct a roadway in the Industrial Area. <br />Mayor Swietyniowski promised that an update would be forthcoming. <br />Mrs. Petrigac reminded the Mayor that a breakdown of figures on the new Council <br />Chambers had been promised for the past three months. Mayor promised to provide <br />the total package with a separate breakdown on the Council Chambers. <br />In response to President Boehmer's question, Mayor Swietyniowski stated that the <br />first Council Meeting in the new chambers might be February 7th. <br />Mrs. Petrigac scheduled a meeting for the Council Chambers Committee on Thursday, <br />January 5th, at 7:30 P.M., and requested the Mayor, Finance Director, Architect <br />and Contractor to be in attendance. <br />Mrs Bierman requested that he be notified of the Safety_ Committee Meeting when it <br />is scheduled. <br />There being no further business, President Boehmer adjourned the Council Meeting at <br />9:45 P.M. <br />F orence E.
