MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JULY 3, 1985 <br />Present: President James Boehmer, Councilmen Bierman, O'Grady, Petrigac, <br />Rademaker, Tallon. <br />Also present: Mayor Robert Swietyniowski, Finance Director Edward Boyle, <br />Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Absent: Councilmen Saringer and Wilamosky. <br />Special Council Meeting was called to order by President Boehmer at 7:35 P.M., <br />in Council Caucus Room, 5200 Dover Center Road. <br />Councilman Bierman noted, for the record, that proper, twenty-four notice had <br />not been given to council on all the items appearing on the agenda. Even so, <br />council had no objection to proceeding with the agenda as submitted. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 83-71 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its second <br />reading. An ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various administra- <br />tive and legislative personnel for the year 1985, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 85-75 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $4,000,000 bonds for the purpose <br />of paying costs of improving the Municipal Sanitary Sewerage System by improving <br />and expanding the Municipal Wastewater Treatment Facilities and rehabilitating <br />and reconstructing sanitary sewers, sanitary sewer connections, pump stations and <br />manholes and installing water-tight manhole inserts, where necessary, all to- <br />gether with the necessary appurtenances thereto. <br />Resolution No. 85-76 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its second <br />reading. A resolution adopting the budget of the City of North Olmsted for the <br />fiscal year beginning January 1, 1986, and submitting the same to the County <br />Auditor, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 85-77 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its second <br />reading. An ordinance establishing the organization and composition of the non- <br />uniform personnel of the Police Department, together with salaries and various <br />benefits for said employees, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 85-78 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31st, 1985. Mr. O'Grady <br />moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. Tallon, unani- <br />mously approved. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously <br />approved. Ordinance No. 85-78 adopted. <br />Mr. Bierman moved to excuse the absence of Councilmen Saringer and Wilamosky, second <br />by Mr. Rademaker, unanimously approved. <br />There being no further business, President Boehmer adjourned the Special Council <br />Meeting at 7:40 P.M. <br />b (..,. <br />lorence E.
