MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 3, 1986 <br />Present: President Dwayne Woerpel, Councilmen Lackey, McKay, O'Grady, <br />Saringer, Tallon, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Law Director Michael Gareau, Clerk of <br />Council Florence Campbell. <br />Absent: Councilman Rademaker. <br />Meeting was called to order by President Woerpel at 8:15 P.M., in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting <br />the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Minutes of the Council Meeting of May 20, 1986, were approved as amended: <br />Page 4, Paragraph 5, amended to read, "Mayor's Organization and Travel". <br />President Woerpel announced 1) Councilman Rademaker will not be in attendance <br />this evening due to a family situation. <br />2) Ordinance Nos. 86-36 and 86-42 have been removed from tonight's agenda; the <br />following have been added: Ordinance No. 86-49, dedication of Timber Trails <br />Subdivision; Ordinance No. 86-50, establishing complement and compensation for <br />the Parks and Recreation Department; Resolution No. 86-51, recognition of an <br />Eagle Scout Award to Mark Frazier; Resolution No. 86-52, recognition of the <br />Odyssey of the Mind Award to World Champions Krista Bognar, Michelle Tarver, <br />Laura Sponseller, Julie Freed, Suzanne Dunn and Coach Jim Bognar. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved Council amend tonight's agenda in order to consider Resolu- <br />tion No. 86-51 and Resolution No. 86-52 at this time, second by Mrs. Saringer, <br />unanimously approved. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 86-51 introduced by Mrs. Saringer on behalf of the Mayor and the <br />entire Council was given its first reading. A resolution commending the achieve- <br />went of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. Mrs... Saringer moved for suspension <br />of rule requiring three readings as well as referral to committee, second by <br />Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, second by <br />Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 86-51 adopted and read in its <br />entirety by President Woerpel. <br />Resolution No. 86-52 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of the Mayor and the <br />entire Council was given its first reading. A resolution commending the achieve- <br />ment of the "Odyssey of the Mind" World Champions from the North Olmsted Middle <br />School. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well <br />as referral to committee, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Mr. McKay <br />moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Resolution No. <br />86-52 adopted and read in its entirety by President Woerpel. Members and Coach of <br />the Odyssey of the Mind Award were recognized and congratulated by Members of <br />Council and the Administration as well as the audience. <br /> <br />
