MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL
<br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED
<br />.~: MARCH 27, 1986
<br />Present: President Dwayne Woerpel, Councilmen Lackey, McKay, O'Grady,
<br />Saringer, Tallon, Wilamosky. (Councilman McKay present at 9:40 P.M.)
<br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Finance Director Edward Boyle, Clerk
<br />of Council Florence Campbell.
<br />Absent: Councilman Rademaker.
<br />Special Council Meeting was called to order by President Woerpel at 9:35 P.M.,
<br />in Council Caucus Room, 5200 Dover Center Road.
<br />LEGISLATION:
<br />Ordinance No. 86-20 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading.
<br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures
<br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1986, as amended.
<br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon. Mrs. Saringer moved to
<br />amend Ordinance No. 86-20, second by Mr. O'Grady, to read as follows:
<br />Page 1 - Administrative Assistant - $20,000
<br />Mayor's Secretary - $14,000
<br />Page 2 - Service Director's Secretary - $14,000
<br />Budget and Management Director - $27,000
<br />City Insurance - $219,418
<br />Page 3 - Total. Administration - $1,840,650
<br />Page 5 - Building Department - Clerical - $14,000
<br />Total Building Department - $137,598
<br />Page 6 - Division of Aging - Administrator - $16,000
<br />Total Division of Aging - $46,716
<br />Page 7 - Total General Fund - $7,102,936
<br />Page 9 - Parks & Recreation Dir./Rec. Center Manager - $28,500
<br />Park and Recreation Fund - Insurance - $5,420
<br />Page 10 - Total appropriations, all funds,. including sections below - $20,428,044
<br />Roll call on motion to amend: Affirmative vote: Lackey, McKay, O'Grady, Saringer.
<br />Negative vote: Tallon, Wilamosky. 4 Aye - 2 Nay - Motion carried. Ordinance No.
<br />86-20 amended. Ordinance No. 86-20 was given its second reading as amended. Mr.
<br />McKay moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mrs. Saringer.
<br />Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: Lackey, McKay, O'Grady, Saringer. Negative
<br />vote: Tallon, Wilamosky. 4 Aye - 2 Nay - Motion failed; two-thirds vote necessary
<br />to carry.
<br />President Woerpel scheduled a Special Council Meeting for Saturday, March 29, 1986,
<br />at 9:00 A.M. Ordinance No. 86-20 will be placed on the agenda for third reading
<br />at this time and date.
<br />Mr. McKay moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Rademaker, second by Mr. Tallon,
<br />unanimously approved.
<br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Woerpel
<br />adjourned the Special Council Meeting at 10:55 P.M.
