MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITX OF .NORTH OLMSTED <br />JANUARY l4, 1986 <br />Present: President Dwayne Woerpel, Councilmen Lackey,. McKay, .O'Grady, <br />Rademaker, Saringer, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Finance Director Edward Boyle, Clerk <br />of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Absent: Councilman Ta11on <br />Special Council Meeting was called to order by President Woerpel at 7:30 P.M., <br />in Council Caucus Room, 5200 Dover Center Road. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 86-6 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first xeading. <br />An ordinance to transfer funds for current expenses and other .expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, for the year ending December 31, 1986, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Mayor Petrigac explained that a transfer in .the amount of $17,-647 was necessary <br />in order to pay off the Mintz Construction contract this week or else the city <br />could face the possibility of litigation as well as a large interest payment. <br />President Woerpel asked that Law Director Gareau look over the contract and <br />advise Council of the city's legal obligation and whether there is a possibility <br />of any litigation if payment is not made this week. <br />At 8:00 P.M., Council went into an executive session in order to discuss the <br />other transfer item in Ordinance No. 86-6, i.e., Budget and Management Secretary, <br />$16,500. <br />Upon reconvening at 8:10 P.M., Mr. Wilamosky reported that this had been dis- <br />cussed at a Finance Committee Meeting on Monday, January 13th and it was <br />committee's recommendation to amend Ordinance No. 86-6. Mr. Wilamosky moved <br />Council amend Ordinance No. 86-6 by striking out "Budget and Management Secretary, <br />$16,500" as well as the total amount of "34,147" and insert a new total figure <br />of $17,647, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 86-6 <br />will be amended and placed on second reading January 15th as amended. <br />President Woerpel noted that he was unaware of the Finance Committee Meeting <br />on Monday evening and asked that in the future he be advised of all committee <br />meetings of council through the Clerk of Council. <br />Mr. McKay moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Tallon, second by Mr. Rademaker, <br />unanimously approved. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President <br />Woerpel adjourned the Special Council Meeting at 8:15 P.M. <br />lorence E.
