ALBENZE Prosecuting Attorney 777-5300 Re: School Guard Ann Rostrek - Audience participation - March 15, 1988 Dear Members of Council: You will recall that during the audience participation, Mr. Rostrek spoke on behalf of his wife with respect to a case that is presently pending before the Court of Appeals Eighth Appellate District dealing with the subject of unemployment compensation. At one paint during audience participation, Mr. Rostrek indicated that when a three-way conversation took place between his wife, myself and a referee with the Board of Review for Unemployment Compensation, that I was absolutely rude and that Mrs, Rostrek had never been treated so shabbily. For your information, it should be noted that the entire conversation that took place between the aforesaid three parties, was in fact recorded. For your information and review, I am enclosing herewith a copy of the transcript which is some 12 pages long. I would request that the members of Council review the transcript and determine for yourself whether or not the characterization of that conversation was as Mr. Rostrek said. I am sure that once you review the transcript, you will come to but one conclusion, that being that Mr. Rostrek, speaking on behalf of his wife, has been absolutely consistent and, as in the past, totally lacks credibility. I thought it was appropriate to bring this to your attention in that I believe Mr. Rostrek's accusations impuned my integrity which accusation was false, unfair, and totally lacks credibility.
