' Council Minutes of 6/6/89 -5- <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 89-43 introduced by Councilman Wilamosky was given its second <br />reading. An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1989. <br />Resolution No. 89-47 introduced by Mr. Boehmer and Mayor Petrigac was given its <br />first reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to ad- <br />vertise for bids for one emergency rescue vehicle and equipment, firefighter turn- <br />out gear, air packs and tanks and radio equipment to be used by the North Olmsted <br />Fire Division and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. Boehmer moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, <br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Mr. Boehmer moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 89-47 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 89-48 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing. the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />the repair of Sunset Oval, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 89-49 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />Phase II, Deerfield Project Drainage, and declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady <br />moved-for suspension of rule requiring three readings. as well as referral to <br />committee, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Mr. O'Grady moved for <br />adoption, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 89-49 <br />adopted. <br />Miscellaneous Business: <br />Mr. McKay discussed the replacement of trees; is this still being done by the <br />oldest request being considered first on the replacement list. Mayor responded <br />that the administration pretty much follows this plan, with the exception that <br />in handling the older requests, the crews might do the whole street at that time. <br />Mr. Tallon scheduled a BZD Committee Meeting for Wednesday, June 7th at 7:30 P.M. <br />Mrs. Bahas scheduled a joint Safety and Long Range Planning Committee Meeting for <br />June 13th at 7:30 P.M., as well as a Long Range Planning Commmittee Meeting for <br />Wednesday,. June 14th at 7:30 P.M. <br />Mr. McKay scheduled a Streets and Drainage Committee Meeting for Monday,. June 19th, <br />at 7:30 P.M., to discuss the Sunset Oval proposal and requested Service Director <br />Noble's attendance. <br />Mayor Petrigac announced that she would .not be in attendance at the next regular <br />council meeting; will be attending the U.S. Conference of Mayors. <br />Mr. Boehmer congratulated Service Director Noble and everyone who contributed <br />time and money in completing the Memorial Park. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Saringer <br />adjourned the council meeting at 10:35 P.M. <br /> <br />orence E.
