~• <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MAY 16, 1989 <br />Present: President Janet Saringer, Councilwoman Bahas, Councilmen <br />Boehmer, Bohlmann, McKay, O'Grady, Tallon, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Meeting was called to order by President Saringer at 8:00 P.M., in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting <br />the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag led by Scout David C. Anderson, Troop 664. <br />Minutes of Regular Council Meeting of May 3, 1989, were approved. <br />Minutes of Special Council Meeting of May 8, 1989, were approved. <br />President Saringer announced: 1) Two pieces of legisaltion have been added <br />to tonight's agenda: Resolution No. 89-45 commending Lt. Weston on the occasion <br />of his retirement from the Police Department and Ordinance No. 89-46 transfer- <br />ing appropriations to deal with the Rec Complex roof. <br />2) At this time, we will move into legislation for the reading of Resolution <br />No. 89-44. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 89-44 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of the Mayor and the <br />entire Council was given its first reading. A resolution commending the <br />achievement of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting by David C. Anderson. <br />Mr. McKay moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as <br />referral to committee, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Mr. McKay <br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Resolution <br />No. 89-44 adopted. President Saringer read the resolution in its entirety; <br />Scout Anderson was recognized and congratulated by the administration and the <br />entire council. <br />Former "Mr. Scouter", Dave Dillon, addressed council as follows: <br />1. Introduced Mr, and Mrs. Scouter for 1989 - <br />Mr. Dan Kerner and Mrs. Joanne Solomon. <br />2. Announced that All Scouts' Weekend will be held on <br />June 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
