MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL

<br />APRIL 19, 1989
<br />Present: President Janet Saringer, Councilmen Boehmer, Bohlmann,
<br />McKay, O'Grady, Tallon, Wilamosky,
<br />Also present: Finance Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell,
<br />Absent: Councilwoman Bahas
<br />The Special Meeting of the Council of the City of North Olmsted was called
<br />to order by President Saringer at 7:30 P.M ., in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover
<br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio.
<br />President Saringer announced that Ordinance No. 89-30, an ordinance providing
<br />for the issuance and sale of $150,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance
<br />of bonds, to pay costs of improving the city's street system by acquiring and
<br />installing signals, signs and other equipment and devices to direct and control
<br />the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, had been removed from the agenda.
<br />LEGISLATION:
<br />Ordinance No. 89-29 introduced by Councilmen Wilamosky, Bohlmann and Tallon was
<br />given its third reading. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of
<br />$205,000 notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of
<br />acquiring an emergency rescue veh icle and equipment, including turn-out gear,
<br />air packs and tanks, radio equipment, hoses and nozzles, for use in carrying out
<br />functions of the Division of Fire of the Department of Public Safety. Mr. Wilamosky
<br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved. Ordinance No.
<br />89-29 adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 89-31 introduced by Councilmen O'Grady, Wilamosky, Bohlmann and Tallon
<br />was given its third reading. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of
<br />$145,000 notes in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving
<br />the Municipal Sewerage System, by acquiring, constructing and installing storm
<br />sewers, storm water retention basins, storm water drainage control equipment and
<br />catch basins, together with the necessary appurtenances theretp. Mr. O'Grady
<br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Ordinance No.
<br />89-31 adopted.
<br />Mr. McKay moved to excuse the absence of Councilwoman Bahas, second by Mr. Boehmer,
<br />unanimously approved.
<br />Mr. O'Grady expressed his appreciation to his colleagues on council for the swift
<br />manner in which they handled the Deerfield Project; he thanks them very much.
<br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Saringer
<br />adjourned the Special Council Meeting at 7:35 P.M.
