MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 17, 1989 <br />Present: President Janet Saringer, Councilmen Boehmer, Bohlmann, <br />McKay, O'Grady, Tallon, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Finance Director Edward Boyle. <br />Absent: Councilwoman Bahas <br />The Special Meeting of the Council of the City of North Olmsted was called <br />to order by President Saringer at 7:30 P.M „ in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman of Finance Committee reported: 1) Ordinance No. 89-29, <br />dealing with safety equipment and rescue squad for the Fire Department, as <br />well as Ordinance No. 89-31, covering the Deerfield Project, were reported <br />on at the last regular council meeting. Ordinance No. 89-30, dealing with <br />signalization and providing for engineering funding, came out of a Finance <br />Committee meeting. Finance Committee has no objection to these projects and <br />heartily supports them. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for presentation of a Fiscal Officer's Certif icate with re- <br />spect to Ordinance Nos. 89-29, 89-30 and 89-31, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously <br />approved. Fiscal Officer's Certificates covering said ordinances were presented <br />by Finance Director Boyle. <br />Ordinance No. 89-29 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $205,000 notes, in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of acquiring an emergency rescue vehicle <br />and equipment, including turn out gear, air packs and tanks, radio equipment, <br />hoses and nozzles, for use in carrying out functions of the Division of Fire of <br />the Department of Public Safety. <br />Ordinance No. 89 -30 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $150,000 notes, in anticipation of <br />the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving the city's street system by <br />acquiring and installing signals, signs and other equipment and devices to direct <br />and control the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. <br />Ordinance No. 89-31 introduced by Mr, O'Grady was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $145,000 notes., in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving the Municipal Sewerage <br />System by acquiring, constructing and installing storm sewers, storm water re- <br />tention basins, storm water drainage control equipment and catch basins, together <br />with the necessary appurtenances thereto. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved to excuse the absence of Councilwoman Bahas, second by <br />Mr. Boehmer, unanimously approved. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Saringer <br />adjourned the Special Council Meeting at 7:35 P.M. <br />Florence E.
