There is no allowance for
the closing of pipes. Also there is a loss of 4,000 sq. feet of
parking which is not acceptable. Additional culvert pipes are needed
to close up part of this. Eighteen hundred feet of fencing will be
reinstalled. Work on Bradley Road will begin this week with the road
being closed for one day.
2) Previous engineering estimates on Stmset Oval were flawed. New
estimates have been completed and are in the area of four to five
hundred thousand dollars. One hundred thousand has been appropriated
this year, part of which has been used on engineering. Work will be
done ~ the section of the street where the street doubles back into
itself. Work will begin later this year.
3) Lucille will be repaved this week. Drainage work is being done
around Twin Circle prior to repaving, which is to begin in three to
four weeks. North Park work will begin in September.
4) Signalizatioaz work is progressing. Miss Amy Briggs, high school
senior, has suggested including crosswalk signals. Her idea will be
included in the city-wide signalizaton plan.
5) Mr. Bohlman, Mr. Wilamosky, and Mr. Diechmann met with NOACA to
discuss the I480 interchanges at Great Northern and Clague. We have
requested further study of traffic counts. We have eliminated two of
the alternatives because they would promote truck traffic onto
Coltnnbia Road.
1
