MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING
APRIL 7, 1992
7 P.M.
Present: President Pro Tem McKay, Council Members Bahas, Lind, Musial,
Nashar.
Also Present: Clerk of Council Barbara Seman.
President Pro Tem McKay called the public hearing to order at 7:06 p.m. in
Cotmcil Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio.
Mr. McKay announced that the public hearing was being held to discuss Ordinance
No. 91-186, an ordinance providing for the amendment of the zcming map of the
City of North Olmsted, which zoning map is part of the Zoning Cock of the City of
North Olmsted bg changing the premises described from Single Residence A District
to General Retail Business District.
Councilwoman Bahas explained that the rezoning of this parcel was limited to a
single residence that was isolated from other residences. To the south of this
home is a shopping center; to the north is a church; to the west is the church
school; to the east is a commercial building. The owner has not been able to
sell the property as a residence because it is isolated from other homes. The
system has caused the owner some hardship, and Council feels that the rezoning is
proper.
Audience Participation
Ted Oconke, 4772 Dover Center, who lives two houses north of the church next to
this property, had no objection to the rezoning.
President Pro Tem McKay adjourned the public hearing at 7:10 p.m.
James D. Boetmier, Presi ent of Council
