Council Minutes of 12-21-2010 Councilwoman Jones made a motion to approve the conditional use permit for Suburban Collision Center with the following conditions: maintain full compliance with state and local law, particularly with respect to Ohio EPA permit requirements and regulation of air pollution control systems, as well as North Olmsted Code 521.09 which prohibits Noxious or Offensive Odors; provide the Building Commissioner with copies of all reports generated for and filed with the Ohio EPA, as well as any citations issued by Cleveland Air; provide the Building Commissioner with the identity of and contact information regarding all service providers for automotive spray paint booth, together with copies of such maintenance schedules and documentation of filtration replacement; and provide the Building Commissioner with written communication immediately following any odor nuisance complaints that may be received from neighboring residents. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney. Roll Call: Jones, yes; Mahoney, yes; Kearney, yes; Williamson, yes; Orlowski, yes; Brossard, yes with comment. Since Suburban's open house walk-through in August 2009, which detailed their ventilation improvements, I have had no resident complaints regarding odor directed to me personally. So, I'm satisfied that this business is doing just about everything they can to coexist with its residential neighbors. Roll Call continued: Barker, yes. Councilman Mahoney, Chairman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee: The Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee met Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 7:45 p.m. Present were committee members Mahoney, Kearney and Williamson; Council President Limpert; Council members Orlowski, Jones, Barker and Brossard; and Director of Safety and Service Ritenauer. • 2010-158 is an Ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to provide for the placement of "Left Turn Yield on Green" sign at the traffic light for Porter Road southbound at the intersection of Lorain Road in the City of North Olmsted. Director of Safety and Service Ritenauer gave a brief presentation during the committee meeting. This Ordinance is a result of a safety study that had been conducted by Ritenauer, the Police Chief and the City Engineer. It is thought by all that safety would be improved and enhanced by placing that particular sign on Porter Road heading southbound. The committee voted 3-0 for approval of Ordinance 2010-158. Councilwoman Williamson, Chairwoman of the Intra-Governmental Relations Committee: The Intra-Governmental Relations Committee received a request by the Mayor for two re-appointments to boards and commissions. Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to approve the re-appointment of Robert Parry to the Planning and Design Commission for the term January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2015.
