Council Minutes of 10-19-2010 <br />Ordinance 2010-129 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its third reading. An <br />Ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to provide for <br />the installation of two "Keep Right" signs on the center median of Brookpark Road at the <br />traffic signal regulating traffic exiting Wal Mart and North Olmsted Town Center, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Mahoney moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Williamson and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-129 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-130 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance abolishing Chapter 1361 of the Building Code of the City of North Olmsted <br />entitled "Flood Damage Prevention" and further establishing a new and revised Chapter <br />1361 of the Building Code of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Flood Damage <br />Prevention" in order to comport with requirements of the Ohio Department of Natural <br />Resources, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Jones made a motion to suspend <br />the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and <br />passed unanimously. Councilwoman Jones moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-130 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution 2010-131 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Planning and Development to make <br />application on behalf of the City of North Olmsted for Community Development Block <br />Grant (CDBG) funds for the fiscal year 2011 for the Country Club Boulevard Streetscape <br />and Safety Enhancements Project; further authorizing the use of city funds as the local <br />match; further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded; and to execute a <br />contract with Cuyahoga County, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Orlowski <br />made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Brossard and passed unanimously. Councilman Brossard moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution 2010-131 adopted. <br />Ordinance 2010-133 introduced by Mayor Kennedy was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance authorizing the Director of Human Resources to solicit proposals for the <br />personal services of a third party administrator (TPA) to process health insurance claims <br />and including the purchase of excess insurance coverage for the city health care and <br />hospitalization plans for 2011, and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of <br />the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for said services and insurance, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker made a motion to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption.
