Council Minutes of 08-17-2010 <br />~_,: <br />additional revenue from future co-locaters on the tower. Director Wenger said the <br />10-foot extension will give no major consequence to the area and bring revenue to <br />the city. The committee voted 3-0 in favor of the Resolution with suspension. <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. <br />The Safety Committee met on Monday, August 9, 2010 at 8:30 p.m. Present were <br />Committee members Mahoney, Williamson and Kearney; Council members Barker, <br />Orlowski and Jones; President Limpert; and Director of Safety/Service Ritenauer. <br />• Ordinance 2010-97 an Ordinance amending Section 351.03 of the Traffic Code <br />entitled "Prohibited Standing or Parking Places" in order to identify no parking <br />zones on dead end streets and further to authorize the installation and enforcement <br />of uniform "No Parking" signs accordingly, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ritenauer and Councilman Orlowski explained that this is to provide clarity for <br />dead-end streets, cul-de-sacs and parking on the hydrant side of the street. The <br />area involved is Kennedy Ridge Road entering from Columbia Road and the <br />Park-n-Ride. The Ordinance was recommended for approval 3-0. <br />• Ordinance 2010-98 an Ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of <br />North Olmsted to provide for the installation and enforcement of an "Authorized <br />Vehicle Parking Only" sign at the westerly terminus of Kennedy Ridge Road, <br />upon entering from Columbia Road, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Orlowski has identified issues with people parking near the hammerhead on <br />Kennedy Ridge Road. The Ordinance was recommended for approval 3-0. <br />• Ordinance 2010- 99 an Ordinance amending Section 533.16 of the North Olmsted <br />Codified Ordinances, entitled "Registered Offenders -Local Regulations," in <br />order to prohibit more than one unrelated registered sex offender from residing <br />within a residential structure, and declaring an emergency. The purpose of this <br />Ordinance is to bring the City in compliance with state law and to mirror state <br />law. Councilwoman Jones should be commended for having the foresight to <br />protect the safety of our children. The committee voted 3-0 to recommend <br />approval of the Ordinance. <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to amend Ordinance 2010-92. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2010-92 <br />amended. <br />President Limpert commended the crew that is working on painting the fire hydrants. <br />Mayor Kennedy said he would forward Limpert's comments to his Administrative <br />Assistant, Jane Leaver, who worked hard on this project. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Jeffrey Sturgeon, 3092 W. 231 said the work on the cell tower at Clague Road looks <br />good. He asked if any money was put into park equipment in 2006, and if there is any <br />way to make park improvements. Gareau said the master lease from 1996 is an anomaly. <br />8 <br />
