Council Minutes of 01-19-10 <br />Ordinance 2010-10 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance creating new Chapter 1155 (Solar Energy Systems) of the North Olmsted <br />Zoning Code in order to permit and establish regulations for the use of Solar Energy <br />Systems in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Ordinance 2010-11 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Barker on <br />behalf of himself and Mayor Kennedy. An Ordinance amending Section 1363.07 of <br />Chapter 1363 of the Real Property Maintenance Code, entitled "Duties and <br />Responsibilities of Owners and Operators" and to adopt standards for rubbish disposal <br />and recreational vehicle covers relating to the exterior appearance of residential buildings <br />and premises in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Ordinance 2010-12 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted of <br />amendments to Article V, Sections 1, 4, 5, and 6 of the Charter of the City of North <br />Olmsted to abolish the Departments of Public Service, Public Safety and Community <br />Life Services as Charter-level departments; and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance 2010-13 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. An <br />Ordinance amending and re-establishing health care benefits for non-bargaining unit <br />employees of the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution 2010-14 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Kennedy. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Public Safety to make application on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted for an Ohio EPA Storm Water Improvement Fund <br />grant to eliminate erosion within a storm channel along Windsor Drive; further <br />authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded; and to execute a contract with the <br />Ohio EPA, and declaring an emergency. <br />Council President Limpert asked that resident Don Pangrac be recognized by Council. <br />Councilman Mahoney made a motion to recognize Mr. Pangrac. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Barker. Council President Limpert asked if anyone had an <br />objection. No one objected. <br />Don Pangrac, 23470 Sharon Drive said 2009-64, 86 and 100 are exactly the same. There <br />is no difference between them, and he wants to know why. Councilman Barker explained <br />that those are overlay districts, and each Ordinance listed a few more parcels adding <br />parcels to the list. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilwoman Jones announced that a Public Hearing is going to be held for Ordinance <br />No. 2010-10 Solar Energy Systems on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 7 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers. <br />11 <br /> <br />
