MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JANUARY 4, 2011 <br />Present: President of Council Limpert, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Jones, <br />Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Human Resources Farver, Director of <br />Public Safety and Public Service Ritenauer, Director of Planning and <br />Development Wenger <br />President Limpert called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilwoman Jones nominated Councilman Mahoney to serve as Council President <br />Pro-tem for the year 2011. Roll Ca11:Jones, Mahoney; Barker, Mahoney; Mahoney, <br />Mahoney; Kearney, Mahoney; Brossard, Mahoney; Williamson, Mahoney; Orlowski, <br />Mahoney. Councilman Mahoney appointed as Council President Pro-tem for the year <br />2011. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of December 21, 2010 were approved as written. <br />No legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• Just before 9:00 a.m. this morning, Fire Dept. personnel were called to the kitchen <br />at Arturo's Bar and Grill on Brookpark Road Extension. The North Olmsted Fire <br />Dept. was assisted by the cities of Bay Village, Westlake, Rocky River, Fairview <br />Park, Olmsted Township, Olmsted Falls and North Ridgeville. Damage to <br />Arturo's is currently estimated at $250,000 and is expected to rise. He thanked <br />the firemen for doing a great job. <br />• He recognized several state champions from Catholic schools in the area, and <br />presented proclamations to the students. <br />Councilman Brossard took a moment of personal privilege to thank the Magnificat Cross <br />Country coach, Coach Anj, and recognized her for winning three state titles in a row. <br />.,,,o.,.~~,~ s~~~ „_- <br />
