,,~~, MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ,,, NOVEMBER 20, 2012 Present: Council President Pro-tem Brossard, Council Members Barker, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo, Director of Safety/Service Thomas, Director of Planning/Development Wenger, Director of Human Resources Farver Absent: Council President Limpert Council Member Schumann President Pro-tem Brossard called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilman Barker made a motion to amend the agenda to remove Ordinance 2012-116 and to put it back into committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2012-116 removed from the agenda and placed back ~: in committee. The minutes of the Council meetings of October 2, 2012 and October 16, 2012 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: Second Reading -Ordinances 2012-110 and 2012-113; First Reading - Ordinance 2012-119 REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • The Board of Control awarded the Citywide Signal System design engineering project to URS Corporation last week. • The Oxcart Food Pantry will provide Thanksgiving meals to 145 families. Distribution began last Thursday and continues today and tomorrow. Thanks to St. Brendan's, St. Clarence, St. Richard's, John Knox Church, United Methodist and Ascension Lutheran churches for their generous contributions. Thanks also to the schools; Pine, Maple, Middle School and High School National Honor Society for their contribution of canned food, fresh produce and holiday pies. Also, a very special thanks to all the volunteers for helping to pack and distribute.
