Any event generating revenue of
$5,000+ is categorized as a Lam Batlroom event, white aH other events are placed in Miscellaneous
Revenue. Miscellaneous Revenue events include small parties, rentals, and dances/dance lessons held
by primate groups.
* Miscellaneous Revenue - In 2008, Miscellaneous Revenue consisted of Springvale sponsored
Ballroom Dances that were held on Friday and Saturday evenings. As the popularity and profitability of
Ballroom Dancing declined, Springvale replaced these events with larger, more profitable events which
include mostly wedding receptions. Therefore as the number of large events increased, the amount of
Miscellaneous Revenue decreased. In 2011 Springvale saw a spike in miscellaneous revenue due to a
small increase in smaller events, as well an increased deposit required by large events.
*Total # Large Evsnts -Most large events are held on Saturday evenings, the most popular night to hold
such events. Springvale does offer reduced pricing to entice events to move to Friday evenings. Also,
reduced pricing is offered for less desirable off-season dates (after Thanksgiving and through Easter.)
* Average # Guests Per Event -Springvale is somewhat at the mercy of each event for this figure..
While Springvale does require a minimum of 150 guests for a Saturday event, and 100 for a Friday event,
each event can not guarantee how many guests will RSVP above these requirements. For example, if
Springvale would have averaged 195 guests for each event in 2012 (similar to 2011), Springvale
potentially would have seen a $44,835 increase in overall Ballroom revenue for 2012. Springvale did
increase the required number of guests for a Friday to 125 for 2013.
Springvale Golf Course and Ballroom
A 5871 Canterbury Road I North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 P440-777-0678 E youngm~north-oknsted.c.~n
