NIINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING <br />MARCH 1, 1994 <br />7 P.M. <br />Present: Council President Boehmer, Council Members Lind, Limpert, McKay, <br />Nashar, Sarmger <br />Also Present: Law I?irector Michael Gareau, Clerk of Council Barbara Semen <br />Council President Boehmer called the Public Hearing to order at 7:05 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />The Public Hearing was held to discuss Ordinance No. 93-155, an ordinance providing for <br />the amendment of the Zane Map of the city of North Ohn~ed by chug the parcel of <br />real property identified as Block "A" on the Cinnamon Woods subdivision preliminary <br />land use plan and located on the west side of Barton Road near the entrance to Can <br />Woods in the City of North Olmsted from Mixed Use B District to B One Famdy Resident <br />District. <br />Audience Participation <br />Rod Blakey, 7137 Bayberry Circle, was concerned about the location of this parcel to his <br />property in the Cinnamon Woods development. It was his understanding that this parcel <br />was originally intended for additions to the condominium development. Mr. Gareau <br />explained that this parcel had been part of the property owned by Christ the King Church <br />and was zoned for institutional use as a college. The new zoning will put it into a <br />residential use. Mr. Blakey expressed concern about the size of the rear setbacks and that <br />the developer would not retain the trees in the rear of the parcel that abuts his property. <br />Mr. Gareau said that the lots were of sufficient depth that there would be at least a 50 foot <br />rear yard. Mr. Gareau further explained that the city does not require the maintenance of <br />trees on single family residence lots. It was suggesrted that Mr. Blakey express his <br />concerns about maintaining the trees to the developer. <br />President Boehmer adjourned the Public Hearing at 7:14 p.m, <br />~~~ ~~ ~~ <br />L.
