<br />Musial, Nashar, Beringer
<br />Also Present: Mayor Ed Boyle, Finance Director James Burns, Clerk of Council

<br />Absent: Council Member Bahas
<br />Council President Boehmer called the special meeting of Council to order at
<br />9:18 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio.
<br />LEGISLATION
<br />finance No. 93-159 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An
<br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $4,100,000 notes, in anticipa-
<br />tion of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of acquiring Springvale Country
<br />Club, including land, the clubhouse, maintenance building an<i other structures
<br />located thereon; fixtures, furnishings and equipment; sprinkler, underground
<br />drainage and water distribution systems and related site i~rovements; all
<br />together with the necessary appurtenances thereto, for use as a golf course acid
<br />recreational and camnmi.ty center. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mr.
<br />Nashar. Roll call: Lind, "qualified yes based an my ccx~ments from last night";
<br />Nashar, yes; Lampert, yes; Beringer, no; Musial, "unqualified yes"; McKay, yes.
<br />Motion passed with five affirmative votes and one negative vote. Ordinance
<br />No. 93-159 adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 93-160 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An
<br />ordinance to establish within the Proprietary Fund Group a "Golf Course Fund" of
<br />the City of North Olmsted. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by Mr. Lampert.
<br />Roll call: Lind, yes; Lampert, yes; McKay, yes; Musial, yes; Nashar, yes;
<br />Beringer, no. Motion passed with five affirmative votes and one negative vote.
<br />Ordinance No. 93-160 adopted.
<br />Resolution No. 94-31 introduced by Mayor Boyle and the entire Council was given
<br />its second reading. A resolution supporting Free Fare Day on March 1, 1994 in
<br />celebration of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line's 63rd Anniversary, and
<br />declaring an emergency. Mr. Lind moved for suspension of the rules requiring
<br />three readings; second by Mr. Nashar. Roll call: Lind, yes; Nashar, yes; McKay,
<br />yes; Musial, yes; Lampert, no; Beringer, yes. Motion passed. with five
<br />affirmative votes and one negative vote. Mr. Lind moved for adoption; second by
<br />Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 94-31 adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 94-36 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An
<br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $5,260,000 notes, in anticipa-
<br />tion of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving certain designated
<br />streets in the city's street system by grading, draining, widening, reconstruct-
<br />ing the pavement base, preparing the surface and surfacing ~ resurfacing, by
<br />constructing, reconstructing, and rehabilitating catch basins, curbs, driveway
<br />aprons, sanitary sewers and sanitary sewer service connections, sidewalks, storm
<br />sewers and water mains and water service connections acid by installing street
<br />lighting, together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto.
