Mnviri~ES of THE MEETING OF THE coUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY QF 1++TORTH OLl'~STED <br />NOVEA~ER 8,1995 <br />Present: Council President Boehmer, Council Members Limpert, Lied, McKay, <br />Miller, Musial, Naar, Beringer <br />Also Present: Mayor Boyle, Finance Director Bums, Clerk of Council Semen <br />Council President Boehmer called the meeting to order at 8:02 p.m in Council Ghau~ers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of October 17, 1995 were approved as written. <br />President Boehmer announced that Ordinance Nos. 95-151 and 95-155 would he passed <br />under suspension of the rule. <br />Dennis Lambert, Chairperson of the Charter Review Commission, was asked to come <br />forward. Mr. Lambert announced that the Commission had worked ditigea~tly for eight <br />months and has now completed its work. On behalf of the Commission, consisting of a <br />very diverse and active group of individuals, Mr. Lambert submitted the packet of <br />recommendations to City Council <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Boyle: 1) A proclamation recognizing November 12 through November 18, 1995 <br />as American Education Week was read and presented to Greg Birney, Supervisor of <br />Community Services and Adult Education. The proclamation commended our educators' <br />efforts to prepare our youth for successful entrance into adulthood and into the world of <br />work. Mr. Birney accepted. the proclamation on behalf of the Board of Education and <br />thanked the Mayor and Council for their recognition of the school system and the <br />activities in celebration of American Education Week. <br />2) A proclamation recognizing the high school girl's soccer team for being number one m <br />the Southwest Conference was read and presented to the team coaches, Chuck Holliday, <br />Bill Fielder, Tom Hart, Dave Reser and Jarrod Holliday. The Mayor, Council and all <br />present congratulated the following members of the team on their accomplishments: <br />Cindy Fficks, Kathy Corni~i, Carrie Hart, Jenny Fleischer, Melissa Norris, Kathy Kovelan, <br />Chrissy Baran, Melissa Tyres, Heather Hart, Micah Trapp, Lori Meinke, Cory Newcomer, <br />Angela Bak, Kendall Albert, Rebecca Miscenik, Rachel Kerr, Kim Abbott, Erin Trapp. <br />
