MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MAY 7, 1997 <br />Present: Council President Pro Tem Saringer, Council Members Limpert, McKay, <br />Musial, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Boyle, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Burns, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council President Boehmer, Council Member Lind <br />Council President Pro Tem Saringer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience werernvited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of April 15, 1997 were approved as written. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Boyle: 1) The Mayor presented proclamations to the following organizations in <br />recognition of their generosity and help to the community during the fire at the Carlton <br />Park Apartments: <br />• John Knox Church for a monetary donation and use of property and facilities by the <br />safety forces. <br />• Manor Care/Arden Court and Manor Care/Medbridge for donating specialized <br />housing for displaced residents with medical needs and for services and support given <br />at the Senior Center. <br />• Chesapeake Bagels for supplying bagels and coffee to the safety forces. <br />• Christ the King Church for a monetary donation. <br />• J. C. Penney Company for an annual monetary donation which permitted the city to <br />respond immediately and provide clothing. <br />• Marc's Pharmacy for filling prescriptions. <br />• Ohliger's Pharmacy far filling prescriptions. <br />• Drug Mart for filling prescriptions. (Representative not in attendance.) <br />• Red Cross for responding with a disaster team and cooperation with the city to resolve <br />a number of issues. (Representative not in attendance.) <br />• McDonald's for providing refreshments to the safety forces. (Representative not in <br />attendance.) <br />~. <br />
