t
for sale. No member of this council has ever allowed statements like that to go
`'~ unchallenged about us in our chamber. It was wrong for those statements about our
. ~,~ guests to go unchallenged by us on February bth. I am proud of the Senator, the state
employees and the League of Women Voters for not dignifying those remarks with a
response.
Currently, the City of North Olmsted is sending Councilman O'Grady and myself to a
leadership development class. An instructor of that course told us 85% of all decisions
are made using "Feelings and Emotion". 15% are based on "Thinking and Logic". I
maintain logical and thought out solutions are the best solutions ;particularly for
technical complex problems. I know how we all "Feel" about radioactive waste. It is a
very "Emotiona.l"' issue. But it is also a very complex problem with many technical
aspects. Please review all that is to be read and all that has been said. After doing so
"Logically Think" about if there is another better, yet legal, solution to our state's LLRW
problem. Balance it with the need for a timely solution. Some discussion was mentioned
of HB16, which we all know nothing about. Can't we do better than just being against
something? Shouldn't we be willing to support a solution?
It is the minority opinion Resolution 96-187 on Senate Bill 19 be held in committee or
tabled until we have some idea as to whether or not their is a better approach to LLRW
than Senate Bill 19. Without a better plan, passage of this resolution will only hurt the
health, safety, and welfare of the Citizens of North Olmsted and the Citizens of the State
of Ohio.
.,.
~..
,max-.,.K,
.~~ ._
I
