Mr. Lambert's suggestion about the <br />~` creation of the North Olmsted Public Power is still on the table and being investigated. <br />~~ Mr. O'Grady invited Mr. Lambert to write up a specific proposal to bring to the <br />committee for review. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 97-4 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of an agreement with the North <br />Olmsted City School District providing for the sharing of certain municipal income tax <br />revenues related to a project to be owned and constructed by Harsax Incorporated. <br />Ordinance No. 97-7 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending the traffic control file of the City of North Olmsted by providing for <br />the installation of "No Parking Between Signs" on the south side of the driveway at 4185 <br />Danberry Drive and the north side of the drive at 4171 Danberry Drive and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 97-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into <br />an agreement with Western Reserve Engineering & Surveying Company Inc., to provide <br />construction observation services for various 1997 capital improvement projects, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 97-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Boyle. A <br />resolution supporting the current administration in its policy of purchasing, leasing, renting <br />or taking on consignment goods for use and for resale by city-owned enterprises that are <br />produced under decent working conditions and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 97-10 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />emergency ordinance enacted by the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in <br />the matter of the hereinafter described improvement and requests the cooperation of the <br />County of Cuyahoga, State of Ohio. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 97-10 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 97-11 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay on behalf <br />of himself and Mr. Nashar. A resolution requesting the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation to improve Lorain Road, State Route 10, from the west corporation line to <br />the east corporation line by resurfacing and curb repair, and declaring an emergency. <br />6 <br />
