MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLM5TED MONDAY, JUNE 8, 1998 Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Kasler, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady Also Present: Finance Director Copfer arrived at 5:35 p.m., Clerk of Council Seman Absent: Council Member Gareau Council President Saringer called the special meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. LEGISLATION Ordinance No. 98-67 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady. An ordinance amending Sections 3 and 6 of Ordinance No. 98-43, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 98-68 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady. An ordinance amending Sections 3 and 6 of Ordinance No. 98-44, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 98-69 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady. An ordinance amending Sections 3 and 6 of Ordinance No. 98-56, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 98-70 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $400,000, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving the city's park and recreational facilities by remodeling, renovating, rehabilitating and otherwise improving the Recreation Center. (Mrs. Copfer arrived and presented the fiscal officer's certificate for this ordinance.) Mr. O'Grady noted that he was in receipt of the fiscal officer's certificate. Mr. McKay moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Gareau; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously.
