MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />~~" OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 7, 1998 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were asked to join Council in reciting the Pledge of the <br />Allegiance which was led by Eagle Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 53. <br />Mayor Musial said that he had a particular love and affection for Scout Troop 53 as it is <br />from Pine School, his three sons became Eagle Scouts through Troop 53 and it is <br />sponsored by the Rotary Club. He asked that everyone give the Scouts a round of <br />applause. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of March 18, 1998 were approved as written. The <br />minutes of the special Council meeting of March 30, 1998 were approved as written. <br />President Saringer made the following announcements: <br />• A public hearing regarding Ordinance No. 98-20 will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />Apri121. <br />• A committee of Council-as-a-whole will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, <br />to discuss capital improvements. <br />• Ordinance No. 98-37 will be removed from the agenda. <br />• Ordinance Nos. 98-25 and 98-38 and Resolution No. 98-26 will be passed under <br />suspension of the rules. <br />• The first Council meeting in May will be held on Wednesday, May 6, due to the <br />Primary Election on Tuesday. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) The recognition ceremony in honor of Former Prisoner of War Day will <br />be held at North Olmsted Park beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 9. <br />2) North Olmsted was named as a 1997 Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day <br />Foundation. <br />~. <br />. ,:,.sue w~~;a.: .~~,~ .:.~,, ,. <br />,v~ ,~-. .,,~.. <br />
