MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ~~" OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED APRIL 7, 1998 Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were asked to join Council in reciting the Pledge of the Allegiance which was led by Eagle Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 53. Mayor Musial said that he had a particular love and affection for Scout Troop 53 as it is from Pine School, his three sons became Eagle Scouts through Troop 53 and it is sponsored by the Rotary Club. He asked that everyone give the Scouts a round of applause. The minutes of the Council meeting of March 18, 1998 were approved as written. The minutes of the special Council meeting of March 30, 1998 were approved as written. President Saringer made the following announcements: • A public hearing regarding Ordinance No. 98-20 will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Apri121. • A committee of Council-as-a-whole will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, to discuss capital improvements. • Ordinance No. 98-37 will be removed from the agenda. • Ordinance Nos. 98-25 and 98-38 and Resolution No. 98-26 will be passed under suspension of the rules. • The first Council meeting in May will be held on Wednesday, May 6, due to the Primary Election on Tuesday. REPORTS Mayor Musial: 1) The recognition ceremony in honor of Former Prisoner of War Day will be held at North Olmsted Park beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 9. 2) North Olmsted was named as a 1997 Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation. ~. . ,:,.sue w~~;a.: .~~,~ .:.~,, ,. ,v~ ,~-. .,,~..
