MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED
MARCH 18, 1998
Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, Limpert,
McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady
Also Present: Clerk of Council Seman
Council President Saringer called the Public Hearing to order at 7 p.m. in Council
Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio.
President Saringer announced the Public Hearing was being held to discuss Ordinance
No. 97-120 which provides for the amendment of the Zone Map by changing the zoning
for the parcels of real property located south of Brookpark Road, north of Country Club
Boulevard and west of Columbia Road from Mixed Use District to Multiple Residence
(Apartment) District.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
Eileen Schuler, 24640, 2H, Clareshire, spoke on behalf of the other owners of Colebrook
Condominiums. A poll was taken of the owners, and everyone is in agreement that they
are in favor of this rezoning. They would like to protect their properties and feel the
Mixed Use zoning could be detrimental in the future if a developer were to put in retail.
They have had enough of retail.
Marie Hammer, 24665 Clareshire, # 203, would also like to see this rezoning take place.
Mrs. Hammer was concerned because the individual parcel numbers of each owner were
not included. Mr. McKay showed her a map of the area and explained that all the
individual units were indeed included in the big parcels. Everyone is included.
As the sponsor of the ordinance, Mr. McKay noted that the request for the rezoning came
from the residents.
As there were no further comments, President Saringer adjourned the Public Hearing at
7:05 p.m.
.~ _`
~ , , -.~~-d-~--- ~
arbara L.
