Council Minutes of 3/3/98 <br />~x~ Resolution Na 98-21 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial on <br />behalf of himself and the entire Council. A resolution commending the Cuyahoga County <br />Public Library on its 75th Anniversary in 1998. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Nashar; motion <br />passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion <br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 98-21 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 98-22 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution declaring April 9, 1998 "National Former Prisoner of War Day". Mr. O'Grady <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second <br />by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Resident Dennis Lambert, 25057 Carey <br />Lane, asked why the ordinance was not read as an emergency. Mr. Limpert explained that <br />there was time for the 30 day waiting period as long as the Mayor signed the ordinance <br />before March 9. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 98-22 adopted. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mr. O'Grady scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 6 p.m. on March 12 to discuss <br />the appropriations, Ordinance 98-16. The Mayor and directors are invited to attend. <br />Mrs. Kasler scheduled a joint Recreation and Finance Committee meeting for 6 p.m. on <br />Wednesday, March 11, to discuss Ordinance 98-18. Mr. Jenkins and Mr. Strnad are asked <br />to attend. <br />Mr. Limpert scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations and Legislation; Long-Range <br />Planning Committee meeting to immediately follow the joint Recreation and Finance <br />Committee meeting on March 11. Ordinances 98-15 and 98-19 will be discussed, and the <br />Law Director and Finance Director are asked to attend. <br />Mr. Nashar scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee meeting to <br />immediately follow the Finance Committee meeting on March 12. Mr. Bohlmann, <br />Mr. Jenkins and the animal warden are asked to attend. <br />Mr. Gareau scheduled a Building, Zoning and Development Committee meeting to <br />immediately follow the Intra-Governmental meeting on Wednesday, March 11. Ordinance <br />98-11, the ball diamond at Birch School and possibly a preliminary land use plan will be <br />discussed. Mr. Gareau asked that residents in the area of the Birch School ball diamond <br />be notified of the meeting. (Mr. Jenkins will contact resident Mrs. Kozoil who is familiar <br />with the neighbors who are interested in this matter.) Assistant Building Commissioner <br />Rymarczyk is asked to attend for the discussion of Ordinance 98-11. <br />Mrs. Kasler asked that the proposed change to the rules of Council be discussed at the <br />Intra-Governmental Relations Committee meeting. <br />10 <br /> <br />
