MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />,_ OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JANUARY 6, 1998 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Limpert, McKay, <br />Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />Mr. O'Grady moved to amend the agenda to place Ordinance No. 97-113 and 97-122 on <br />the agenda. The motion was seconded by Mr. Limpert and unanimously passed. <br />Mrs. Saringer announced that due to the two Council vacancies the organizational meeting <br />of Council would be postponed. However, Council will temporarily make appointments <br />to the Finance and Building, Zoning and Development Committees. Mr. O'Grady moved <br />to appoint Councilman Gareau as the Chairperson of the Building, Zoning and <br />Development Committee and as members Councilmen McKay and O'Grady. The motion <br />was seconded by Mr. McKay and unanimously approved. Mr. O'Grady moved to appoint <br />Councilman O'Grady as Chairperson of the Finance Committee and as members <br />Councilmen McKay and Limpert. The motion was seconded by Mr. McKay and <br />unanimously approved. Mr. O'Grady moved to appoint Councilman Limpert as President <br />Pro Tem for 1998. The motion was seconded by Mr. Nashar and unanimously approved. <br />Mrs. Saringer announced that Council would interview candidates for the two Council <br />vacancies beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 10. A special Council meeting will <br />be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, so that the Council appointments can be <br />made. <br />Mrs. Saringer announced that a public hearing regarding the Community Development <br />Block Grant Program would be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 8. <br /> <br />
