<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL
<br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED
<br />NOVEMBER 16, 1999
<br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, Limpert,
<br />McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady
<br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman
<br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8:03 p.m. in Council Chambers,
<br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio.
<br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of
<br />Allegiance to the Flag.
<br />President Saringer announced that Ordinance 99-150 would be passed on suspension of
<br />the rule as it needs to be passed and sent to the County Auditor by December 3.
<br />The minutes of the Council meeting of October 19, 1999 were approved as written.
<br />President Saringer welcomed the North Olmsted High School state championship soccer
<br />team and congratulated the young men, their parents, their coaches and the NOSO
<br />organization. Mayor Musial added his congratulations and on behalf of the entire
<br />community, City Council and administration presented the team members and their
<br />coaches a proclamation in recognition of their achievement of bringing a fourth state
<br />soccer championship to the city. Members and coaches of the team came forward: Greg
<br />Esser, A. J. Studzenski, Jeff Brooks, Matt Duffy, Chris Knevel, Kraig Lusnia, William
<br />Lytwyn, Chris Stewart, Ryan Berlan, Ryan DeVault, Ryan Golden, Jeff Jacko, Brad
<br />Kershaw, Mike Mackulin, Rick Mahon, Dan Martin, Clay Oley, Nate Rusnak, Matt
<br />Strang, Dave Szczypinski, Mark Trapp, Chris Valponi, Ben Wiborg, Joe Zarycki, Justin
<br />Christafaras, Andres Morales; head coach Chris Marsh and assistant coaches Tom
<br />Hatfield, Dan Labianca, John Stowers and Pat McAndrew. The team and coaches were
<br />congratulated by City Council, members of the administration and the audience for their
<br />winning season of 17 victories, g losses and 4 ties.
<br />REPORTS
<br />Mayor Musial: 1) A group of city officials have met with the Department of Justice and
<br />the United States EPA to discuss the consent decree that was entered into in 1995 with
<br />the idea to end that decree because the city has not had any bypasses of the sewer system
<br />in the past 18 months. The meeting went quite well, and he hopes to have excellent news
<br />to report in the future.
