MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL „~: OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED SEPTEMBER 7, 1999 Present: Council President Pro Tem O'Grady, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman Absent: Council President Saringer Council President Pro Tem O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Mr. McKay moved to amend the agenda to include Ordinance No. 99-128 on first reading. The motion was seconded by Mr. Nashar and unanimously approved. Mr. McKay moved to amend the agenda to remove Ordinance No. 99-85 because Council members did not have an opportunity to review answers to the questions they had asked. The motion was seconded by Mr. Miller and unanimously approved. Council President Pro Tem O'Grady made the following announcements: • An executive session will be held at 7:30 p.m. on September 15 to discuss property acquisition and potential litigation. • A public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, with a Finance Committee meeting to follow. The subject matter at both meetings will be Resolution No. 99-122. • A special Council meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on September 14 for passage of Resolution No. 99-122. The minutes of the Council meeting of August 3, 1999 were approved as written. REPORTS Mayor Musial: 1) Homecoming was very successful. The city, school system and all the organizations comprising Community Council put on a tremendous showing and display of cooperation and enthusiasm and interest in the City of North Olmsted. Thank you to the city employees who volunteered their time. 2) The county will be conducting property reappraisals beginning this month. This is the "big" one that is done every six years. The new appraisals will be certified next November and the changes will be seen on the tax bills of January 2001. 3) Two new Fire Department Captains were sworn in last Friday: Mike Ciarrone and ~"' Robert Schroder.
