MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCII. ..~.. OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED NOVEMBER 20, 2000 Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Kasler, McKay, Miller, Nashar, O' Crrady. Also Present: Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman. Absent: Council Members Gareau and Limpert. Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. President Saringer noted that, according to a memo from Finance Director Copfer, Resolution No. 2000-159 must be passed and sent to the County Auditor by December 1. LEGISLATION Ordinance No. 2000-158 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman McKay on behalf of the entire Council and the Mayor. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $2,750,000 of notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of constructing, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving a free public library building and acquiring, preparing, landscaping and otherwise improving its site. Mr. McKay noted that he was in receipt of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. Resolution No. 2000-159 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman McKay. A resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County Auditor. Mr. McKay noted that this was being introduced at this time because the County Auditor had to wait until the election was over to know about the vote on the library. MISCELLANEOUS Mr. O'Grady moved to excuse the absence of Council Members Gaxeau and Limpert. The motion was seconded by Mr. Nashar and passed unanimously.
