Council Minutes of 7/5/2000 Resolution 2000-72 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A ~~. resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for installation of an event lighting system for the ice rink at the North Olmsted Recreation Center in the City of North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2000-73 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for replacement of the sound system for the ice rink at the North Olmsted Recreation Center in the City of North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 2000-75 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement with Chagrin Valley Engineering, Ltd. to provide engineering services for the Sharon Drive rehabilitation, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 2000-77 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to consent to amended use restrictions on the North Olmsted Golf Course in order to allow for the construction of a Hall of Fame administrative building. Ordinance No. 2000-78 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An ordinance authorizing all actions necessary to effect a governmental electricity aggregation program with op-out provisions pursuant to Section 4928.20, Ohio Revised Code, directing the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections to submit a ballot question to the electors and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2000-79 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An ordinance amending Chapter 1901, entitled "Fair Housing Code" of the Codified Ordinances, in order to obtain substantial equivalence with federal law. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Nashar. Roll call: O'Grady, yes; Nashar, yes; Miller, yes, with comment that he will ask the Law Department to inform him of the changes that the federal government has required the city to make. If there should be any concerns after that, he will bring it to Council's attention. Roll call continued: McKay, yes; Limpert, yes; Kasler, yes; Gareau, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-79 adopted. Resolution No. 2000-80 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial on behalf of himself and the entire Council. A resolution expressing concern over the high gasoline prices in northeastern Ohio and urging the region's federal and state representatives to investigate into the causes for the high gasoline prices, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second Mr. Limpert.
