MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CI'TI' OF NORTH OLMSTED MONDAY, MAY 1, 2000 Present: Council President Pro Tem Gareau, Council Members McKay, Nashar, O'Grady Also Present: Finance Director/Acting Clerk of Council Copfer Absent: Council President Saringer, Council Members Kasler, Limpert, Miller Council President Pro Tem Gareau called the special meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. LEGISLATION Ordinance No. 2000-44 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay who noted that he was in possession of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $1,325,000 in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving certain designated streets in the city by grading, draining, widening, reconstructing the pavement base, preparing the surface, surfacing and resurfacing, constructing and reconstructing curbs, gutters, catch basins, storm sewers, sidewalks and driveway approaches and installing traffic signs and signalization, street lighting and related underground wiring, where necessary, in each case together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. Ordinance No. 2000-45 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay who noted that he was in possession of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $555,000, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving the city's park and recreational facilities by remodeling, renovating, rehabilitating, equipping and otherwise improving the Recreation Center and constructing tennis and basketball courts at North Olmsted Park. Ordinance No. 2000-46 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay who noted he was in possession of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $170,000, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving the city's Police Station by replacing portions of its heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, together with necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto.
