MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CI'TI' OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MONDAY, MAY 1, 2000 <br />Present: Council President Pro Tem Gareau, Council Members McKay, Nashar, <br />O'Grady <br />Also Present: Finance Director/Acting Clerk of Council Copfer <br />Absent: Council President Saringer, Council Members Kasler, Limpert, Miller <br />Council President Pro Tem Gareau called the special meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in <br />Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 2000-44 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay who <br />noted that he was in possession of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. An ordinance <br />providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of <br />$1,325,000 in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving certain <br />designated streets in the city by grading, draining, widening, reconstructing the pavement <br />base, preparing the surface, surfacing and resurfacing, constructing and reconstructing <br />curbs, gutters, catch basins, storm sewers, sidewalks and driveway approaches and <br />installing traffic signs and signalization, street lighting and related underground wiring, <br />where necessary, in each case together with the necessary appurtenances and work <br />incidental thereto. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-45 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay who <br />noted that he was in possession of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. An ordinance <br />providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of <br />$555,000, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving the city's <br />park and recreational facilities by remodeling, renovating, rehabilitating, equipping and <br />otherwise improving the Recreation Center and constructing tennis and basketball courts <br />at North Olmsted Park. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-46 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay who <br />noted he was in possession of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. An ordinance providing for <br />the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $170,000, in <br />anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving the city's Police <br />Station by replacing portions of its heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, <br />together with necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. <br />
