Special Council Minutes of 3/29/2000 <br />~ raise, which is what she considers anything over 3%. To go to 5% for this particular <br />;,,~,,, position was agreeable to her only because there were enough points made with regard to <br />what that position encompasses. Other than that, it would have been 3%, and it has <br />nothing to do with the car. Mr. O'Grady said he thinks it is proper for a supervisor to be <br />able to recognize and be able to reward superior service, and that is what we're dealing <br />with here. Roll call on the motion to amend Ordinance 2000-27: Gareau, yes; Kasler, <br />yes; Limpert, no; McKay, no; Miller, yes; Nashar, yes; O'Grady, no. The motion passed <br />with four affirmative votes and three negative votes. Ordinance No. 2000-27 was <br />amended. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 2000-27 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading as <br />amended. An ordinance to make appropriations far current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2000 as <br />amended. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings on <br />Ordinance 2000-27 as amended. The motion was seconded by Mr. O'Grady and <br />unanimously passed. Mr. McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Mr. <br />O'Grady and unanimously passed. Ordinance No. 2000-27 as amended was adopted. <br />Mr. Gareau moved to recess into executive session to discuss litigation. The motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Nashar and unanimously passed. <br />Council recessed into executive session at 7:20 p.m. Council reconvened at 7:35 p.m. <br />The following committee meetings were scheduled: <br />• Legislative at 7 p.m. on April 3 to discuss Ordinance 2000-24. <br />• Finance at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4 for 2000 capital improvements. <br />• Public Safety Health & Welfare, 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4 to discuss a liquor <br />permit. <br />• BZD at 6 p.m. on April 10 to discuss Ordinance 2000-12. The Law Director and <br />Planning Commission members are asked to attend. <br />• BZD at 6:30 p.m. on April 11 for Planning Commission items. <br />With the agenda being <br />7:41J''v`an. <br />President Saringer adjourned the special meeting at <br />J et A.
