Public Hearing 1/19/2000
Ordinance 98-130
Page 3
required unless it is not technically feasible and companies like to do so as it is cost
effective. Councilman Limpert noted that, if Ordinance 98-130 is not passed, in
theory the towers could go anywhere, for example, in a neighbor's backyard.
Councilman Gareau said he felt that the building codes would apply. With this
ordinance, we are trying to regulate within the scope of the law, and it is proactive-
we are preparing for the future. Councilman Limpert noted that the profits from the
tower in Clague Park went into development of the park.
Council President Saringer adjourned the public hearing at 7:30 p.m.
;' , '
,,~ ~
_~~
L.
