>;~, MIlYUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2001 <br />1 P.M. <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Dailey, Kasler (arrived at <br />1:05 p.m.), Limpert, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady. <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Clerk of Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member McKay <br />Council President Saringer called the special Council meeting to order at 1 p.m. in <br />Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />President Saringer invited the Law Director to address Council on the reason for the <br />special meeting. <br />Law Director Gareau said it is very unusual that we call a meeting on a Sunday. The <br />reason far this meeting is that it became abundantly clear to him and Assistatrt Director of <br />Law Jim Dubelko, after having a number of conversations with Board of Elections <br />employees, that we need to file a lawsuit tomorrow morning asking for a mandamus. It <br />may be mooted by the Board of Elections doing something in the meamime. However, <br />an executive session is needed to discuss this particular litigation, which would be the <br />City of North Olmsted vs. the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. <br />Councilman Limpert moved that Council adjourn into executive session. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman O'Grady and unanimously passed <br />Council adjourned into executive session at 1:05 p.m. As Council was moving to the <br />caucus room for the executive session, Councilwoman Kasler arrived. <br />President Saringer called the special meeting back to order at 1:30 p.m. <br />Councilman Nashar made a motion to excuse the absence of Councilman McKay. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. <br />Council President Saringer adjourned the special meeting at 1:31 p.m. <br />q <br />~~v~1~~~~' QI 1 <br />arbara L.
