Council Minutes of 9/4/2001 <br />Councilman O'Grady, chairperson of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee: 1) <br />„~. The ~mmittee met on September 4, at 7:20 p.m. Present were committee members <br />O'Grady, Kesler and Limpert; Council members Beringer, McKay, Nashar, Dailey and <br />Miller; Safety Director Jenkins. Up for discussion was a new liquor license for the Tops <br />Markets LLC, DBA Tops, 26666 Brookpark Road extension. The new license is a C1, <br />C2 license which allows for the purchase of beer, wine and certain pre-packaged liquors <br />in sealed corrtainers for carry-out pwchase up until 1 a.m. in the evening. With the <br />understanding that the North Olmsted Police Department had no objections to this liquor <br />license, the committee unanimously recommended approval. Mr. O'Grady moved that <br />Council approve of a C1, C2 liquor license for Tops Markets LLC, DBA Tops. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Nashar, chairperson of the Building, Zoning and Development Committee: <br />1) The committee met on July 24. Present were committee members McKay, O'Grady <br />and Nashar; Council President Beringer and Council members Limpert, Kesler, Dailey, <br />Miller; Mayor Musial, Service Director Bohlmann, Safety Director Jenkins; residents Mr. <br />& Mrs. Gryzbowski and Mr. & Mrs. Nagy who are involved in the sewer easement. The <br />following item was discussed: <br />• Ordinance 2001-70, an ordinance accepting a permanent storm sewer easement <br />located on the property owned by Paul E. and Teresa A. Gryzbowski's and <br />designated P. P. 235-17-045 on the Cuyahoga. County Records and Maps in <br />connection with the Revere Drive culvert extension and declaring an emergency. <br />This ordinance provides for an additional 12 foot permanent easement on the east <br />side of Revere Drive in order to culvert that section of the drainage ditch. The <br />estimated cost of this project is to be about $150,000. After discussion, the <br />committee unanimously recommended approval of Ordinance 2041-70 subject to the <br />recommendations of the various boards and commissions. <br />2) The Building, Zoning and Development Committee met again today, September 4, at <br />7 p.m. Present were committee members McKay, O'Grady and Nashar; all Council <br />members; Safety Duector Jenkins, City Engineer Deichmann, Building Commissioner <br />Conway. The following item was discussed: <br />• A proposal for Rennie Homes, Permanent Parcel No. 264-07-025 located on Cook <br />Road, for 40 duplex condominium buildings consisting of 80 units. Each unit will <br />have atwo-car garage enclosure. Each unit will have four outside liglrts. Because <br />this is a non dedicated street, they will have a light on the front lawn. There will be <br />pazking for 21 guests, and the city only requires 16 spaces. The homes will be built <br />in the Jasmine type style. An enclosed porch is an option that can be added at an <br />extra cost. The annexation of this property from Olmsted Township occurred on June <br />6, 2000, and the zoning was approved on July 17, 2001. After discussion, the <br />committee unanimously recommerxled approval of the Rennie Homes development <br />on Cook Road, subject to the recommendations of the various boards and <br />commissions of the city. Councilman Nashar moved that Council approve the <br />proposal for the Rennie Horr~s development on P. P. 264-07-025 subject to the <br />recommendations of all the boards and commissions. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman McKay and unanimously approved. <br />6 <br />
