r -v <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />,. OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JANUARY 2, 2001 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Acting Clerk of Council <br />Murphy <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Mr. Nashar made a motion to amend the agenda to remove Ordinance No. 2000-117 from <br />the agenda and place it back in committee. The motion was seconded by Mr. Gareau and <br />passed unanimously. <br />Council President Saringer recognized Government students from St. Edward High <br />School who were in the audience. <br />REPORTS <br />No reports were given. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />There was no audience participation. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 2000-111 introduced by Councilman McKay was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various administrative and <br />legislative personnel and declaring an emergency as amended. Councilman McKay <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman O'Grady and <br />unanimously passed. Ordinance No. 2000-111 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-164 introduced by Mayor Musial and Councilman Gareau was given <br />its third reading. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $300,000 of notes, <br />in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving certain designated <br />streets in the city by installing street lighting and related underground wiring, together <br />with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. Councilman McKay <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and unanimously <br />passed. Ordinance No. 2000-164 adopted. <br />
