r -v MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ,. OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED JANUARY 2, 2001 Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady Also Present: Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Acting Clerk of Council Murphy Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Mr. Nashar made a motion to amend the agenda to remove Ordinance No. 2000-117 from the agenda and place it back in committee. The motion was seconded by Mr. Gareau and passed unanimously. Council President Saringer recognized Government students from St. Edward High School who were in the audience. REPORTS No reports were given. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION There was no audience participation. LEGISLATION Ordinance No. 2000-111 introduced by Councilman McKay was given its third reading. An ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative personnel and declaring an emergency as amended. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman O'Grady and unanimously passed. Ordinance No. 2000-111 adopted. Ordinance No. 2000-164 introduced by Mayor Musial and Councilman Gareau was given its third reading. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $300,000 of notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving certain designated streets in the city by installing street lighting and related underground wiring, together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and unanimously passed. Ordinance No. 2000-164 adopted.
