,, MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />~~ OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 6, 2002 <br />Present: President of Council Pro Tem Miller, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, <br />Kasler, Limpert, McKay, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: President of Council O'Grady <br />President Pro Tem Miller called the meeting to order at 8:02 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to .join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of September 17, 2002 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of September 24, 2002 were approved as <br />written. The minutes of the Council meeting of October 1, 2002 were approved as <br />written. <br />President Pro Tem Miller announced that the following legislation would be passed under <br />suspension of the rules: Ordinances 2002-154, 2002-157, 2002-170, 2002-159, 2002- <br />179, and 2002-148. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) The RTA Park-N-Ride officially opened on November 4, 2002. <br />Developer's Diversified extended the lease on the former lot at Great Northern Shopping <br />Center through November 4 at no cost. Currently, 180 parking spaces are available at the <br />new Park-N-Ride. Today, Mr. Terbrack went out and did a count and found that there <br />were 162 cars parked, 15 people were dropped off and 20 people transferred from the 64 <br />route. It's a tremendous turn-out for the new Park-N-Ride. There may be some traffic <br />signal problems, and our Engineering Department is cooperatively working with RTA on <br />the idea of installing a traffic turn signal to alleviate any traffic issues. <br />2) The street lighting landscaping work is completed. The Zergott Landscaping Company <br />did take care of that, and they did a good job. At the same time, were able to help <br />residents with a few separate issues. <br />3) The Engineering Department sent out eight requests for proposals for the Lorain Road <br />resurfacing project. The proposals are due to the Engineering Department by Friday. <br />
