Council Minutes of 8/6/2002
Councilman Miller said earlier in the evening there was a reference to police officers
dropping off packets. He was not the only Council person who decided to pick up his
own packet this Friday because of the budget concerns. He would also encourage
Council to consider the same. However, he will also caution that there is a benefit to
having an officer, particularly in a development, now that the development patrol of the
auxiliaries has been discontinued. He knows from conversation with neighbors that they
feel good that occasionally there is an officer on the street. As to the little matters that
Council can do to help, usually Mrs. Copfer supplies each Council member with a green
bar. The time involved in the printing of that must involve a bit of money. Perhaps
Council could share those items. Perhaps two or three could be left with the Clerk of
Council and Council members could access them in the office.
With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before
Council, President O'Grady adjourned the meeting at 10:20 p.m.
i` ,~ ,
~. ~~~
L.
