MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2002 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, <br />Kasler, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Presidenrt of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:04 p.m, in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Councilman McKay made a motion to amend the agenda to include Ordinance <br />No. 2002-19 on first reading. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Kasler and <br />passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Limpert asked that the minutes of the Council meeting of January 15, 2002 <br />be amended to include a more detailed attendance list at the Intra-Governmental <br />Relations and Legislation; Long-Range Planning Committee meeting as reported by <br />Councilman Miller. Councilman Miller noted that the minutes correctly reflected his <br />report. A lengthy discussion ensued as to the need for reporting committee attendees <br />other than the committee members. President O'Grady suggested that the issue be <br />discussed at a future committee-of--the-whole meeting. The minutes of the Council <br />meeting of January 15, 2002 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of January 22, 2002 were approved as <br />written. <br />President of Council O'Grady announced that the following legislation would be passed <br />under suspension of the rules: Resolution 2002-4 and Ordinances 2002-8 and 2002-I3. <br />RE <br />Mayor Musial: 1) He has hired a new Safety Director, Lisa Thomas. Lisa was the <br />assistant director of the division of housing and building in the city of Lakewood under <br />Madeline Cain. She was the commissioner of the division of building and housing in the <br />city of Cleveland where she was involved in handling special projects including <br />economic development and external affairs. In Cleveland, Lisa directed the <br />administration of 200 employees, monitored and managed a $15 million budget and <br />
