„~= MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9, 2002 <br />7 P.M. <br />Present: President O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Kasler, Limpert, McKay, <br />Miller, Nashar. Councilman Gareau took his seat after being sworn in. <br />Also Present: Law Director Dubelko, Clerk of Council Seman <br />Presidem of Council O'Grady called the special meeting to order at 7 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />President O'Grady announced that the order of business for the special meeting would be <br />to fill the vacant Council-at-Large position. He will entertain nominations from Council <br />members. Once the nominations are closed, a roll call vote will be taken starting with the <br />members who have placed names into nomination. As called, each Council member will <br />state the name of the person for whom they are casting their vote. The person who <br />receives the majority of votes cast (four votes) will be the Councilman-at-Large. <br />President O'Grady called for nominations, and the following were made: <br />• Councilman Nashar nominated Michael Gareau Jr. <br />• Councilman Limpert nominated William GoeIlner <br />• Councilman Dailey nominated John Lasko <br />The nominations were closed and the roll call vote was taken as follows: Roll call: Mr. <br />Nashar said Michael Gareau Jr.; Mr. Limpert said William Goellner; Mr. Dailey sand <br />John Lasko; Mr. Miller said Michael Gareau Jr.; Mr. McKay said Michael Gareau Jr.; <br />Mrs. Kasler said Michael Gareau Jr. Presidenrt O'Grady announced that Michel Gareau <br />Jr. had received the majority of four votes, Mr. Goellner received one vote and Mr. Lasko <br />received one vote. Mr. Gareau was appointed to the Council-at-Large position. <br />President O'Grady thanked all of the other outstanding citizens who had chosen to take <br />part in the democratic process in our city: Paul Turek, Larry Malusky, Matt Yaniga, Joan <br />Franz Puinnoy Michael McGuire, Charles Bates, Brent Bartell, Michael Cheselka. <br />Michael Gareau came forward and the oath of office was administered to him by his <br />father Michael Gareau Sr. and his wife Karla Rogers Gareau. Councilman Gareau was <br />recognized and congratulated by all present. <br />Councilman Gareau took his seat at the podium and was welcomed by President <br />O'Grady. <br /> <br />
