~„~ MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL
.,a;,: OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED
OCTOBER 5, 2004
Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Limpert,
McKay, Miller, Nashar
Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of
Council Seman
Absent: Council Member Kasler
President O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200
Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio.
Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of
Allegiance.
The minutes of the special Council meeting of September 14, 2004 were approved as
written. The minutes of the Council meeting of September 21, 2004 were approved as
written.
President O'Grady announced the following legislation would be considered for passage
under suspension of the rules: second reading, Resolution 2004-84, Ordinance 2004-150,
Resolutions 2004-151 and 2004-152.
President O'Grady announced that the first meeting in November will take place on
Wednesday, November 3, due to the General Election on November 2.
REPORTS
Mayor Musial: 1) Addressed Councilman Gareau's remarks/comments as set forth in the
Council minutes of September 7, 2004. Mr. Gareau had stated the Mayor is asking
questions which require a commitment of time from city employees doing the leg work
for the Mayor, which appears to be nothing more than an attempt to just assist him in his
private litigation. His inquiries to the city employees do not involve the writ of
mandamus. They deal with an entirely different internal administrative matter.
2) On behalf of the City of North Olmsted, he welcomed members of the Northern Ohio
Golf Association at their 2004 NOGA induction ceremony. The NOGA headquarters is
located in North Olmsted at the North Olmsted Golf Course. The four inductees were
Bill Bosshard, Marty Morrison, Bob Fairchild and Bob Shave Jr. He also had the
pleasure of recognizing two golfers, Ken Stofer and Bob Bewzeg, for achieving the
grand slam of amateurs. Over the years, they each had ahole-in-one a total of four times.
.~
~~>
~~ ,~.~~
i
